The History of Q Gift Shop
 In very little time, the shop began to grow.
Together with Jessie's City Café, the shop grew in popularity. As a result the shop
relocated to another, larger location inside Jessie's. Business increased and so did the
inventory. Before long, customers were asking for daytime hours and complaining about
having to pay a cover charge to shop. But business continued to grow.
Hardly a week passes that someone doesn't come in and ask, "How long have you been here?" We're glad folks are still discovering us.

Q Gift Shop first opened in September, 1993, sub-letting a small space
inside Jessie's City Café on North Ludlow Street in downtown Dayton. The original shop
was tiny. Many new homes boast walk-in closets that are bigger. The shop was open
Wednesday through Sunday from 10 pm - 2:30 am. 
In 1996, a second storefront location was opened on North Main Street in
the Santa Clara Arts District. Just about 1 block and a half north of our current location
at 1904 N. Main Street. Q premiered nearly 8 times the space of its larger space in
Jessie's. A lousy landlord who refused to make roof and air conditioning repairs forced us
to relocate just 11 months later. 
Faced with the challenge of a move, Q again grew in size to fill its
current 2,200 square foot location at 1904 N. Main Street. We have been at our present
location since October, 1997. 
Q now boasts 2 locations. Our storefront at 1904 N. Main Street, open 7
days a week (check our main page for seasonal hours); and our satellite location inside
Jessie's Celebrity. Our Celebrity location is open Wednesday through Saturday, 10:30 pm -
2:30 am.
